A Powel House Halloween by Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks

Join us for this INTRIGUING EVENING in one of Philadelphia’s most historical settings–the home of Samuel Powel, Mayor of Philadelphia immediately before & after the Revolution–A SETTING IN WHICH GHOSTS HAVE BEEN SIGHTED & BUMPS HAVE BEEN HEARD IN THE NIGHT! GPFO 25th Anniversary Gala by Greater Philadelphia Film Office

The Greater Philadelphia Film Office Celebrates Its 25th Silver Screen Anniversary with “Shoot in Philadelphia” Screenwriting Award Events and a Production Party Honoring Over 500 Regional Film and Television Professionals. The Greater Philadelphia Film Office (GPFO) is thrilled to announce An exciting day of events at the new $85 million state-of-the-art film and television production studio (at the former site of the Tri-State Sports Complex) in Chester Township, Delaware County. Starting at 11:00am on Sunday, November 14, 2010, Greater Philadelphia Filmmakers, a GPFO program, will kick off a full day of free screenwriting events culminating in a press conference revealing the winners of the 2010 “Shoot in Philadelphia” (SIP) Screenwriting Awards. All SIP Events are free and open to the public. At 5:00pm, the SIP events will be followed by the industry’s hottest ticket of the year–GPFO’s invitation-only annual Production Party honoring over 500 of Greater Philadelphia’s film and television professionals. The party will feature entertainment, a looping video display of memorable scenes from some of the best films shot in Philadelphia over the last twenty-five years, and an array of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres prepared by one of the region’s top caterers, Feastivities. One-to-One Messaging: A BMA Daybreak Dialogue by Business Marketing Association
